Double R Ranch and Kennel is located in the picturesque Shawnee National Forest of Southern Illinois. We are a family owned and operated business of three generations.

Double R Aussies has expanded our kennel to include the breeding of an AWESOME hybrid cross. We have always bred the gorgeous Miniature Australian Shepherd, and we will always continue to do just that. We have added the Aussiedoodle to our program. This is the hybrid cross between the Miniature Australian Shepherd and the Poodle. We breed all sizes from toys to standards. We sometimes use the Miniature Australian Shepherd for the dam and our two lovely Poodle males for the sire...or we use our Poodle females and breed them to one of the merle males..the outcome is a perfect blend of both breeds! As with our past program we still screen each Miniature Australian Shepherd or Poodle, before bringing it into our breeding program. All of our breeding stock has been Penn HIP and scored according to how good it's hips measure. We only use those dogs with high enough scores to breed. They are CERF tested to make sure there are no eye problems. We strive to match each female with the best suitable stud dog to assure good conformation, sound mental attitude, and of course the best color combinations! We tend to get lots of beautiful Blue Merle puppies with those striking blue eyes in both the Miniature Australian Shepherd lines and the Aussiedoodle hybrids. We are having so much fun with the Aussiedoodles each litter is like Christmas morning under the tree! Our breeding program is exciting and we are having BIG FUN!
